On Winter’s Margin
During the Covid-19 health crisis, as photographers, we had to reinvent the way we made images.
Often cooped up inside, isolating and social distancing, here is how 16 photographers made work during the 2020 Pandemic. 
We are on winter’s margin again, but we are also in the midst of an unprecedented crisis that is affecting the global population. This moment is shaping our personal history.
Distancing, separation, no physical contact…that’s what we’re told to do every day, at a time when human contact is more important than ever, and compassion and empathy are critical values.
On one hand we are isolating more; but on the other hand some of us might be getting in closer contact with family members, friends and neighbors, in person or online. Perhaps it is a chance to understand each other a little better.
